CTPAT Statement of Support

CTPAT logo

CTPAT stands for the United States Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism. Implemented in November 2001, CTPAT is a voluntary initiative between the government and the private sector aimed at strengthening supply chain and border security. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires businesses to maintain the integrity of their security practices and to communicate these security guidelines to their partners within the supply chain. By participating in CTPAT, businesses have the opportunity to play a critical role in the fight against terrorism while contributing to a safer and more secure supply chain for their employees, suppliers, and customers.

It is the policy of Royal Customs Brokers DBA Speed International Logistics(“Speed International Logistics”) to support and comply with all regulations set forth by the CTPAT program.
Speed International Logistics, including its executives, management, and policy-makers, is committed to participating in the CTPAT program and to implementing, adhering to, and maintaining policies, procedures, and practices that align with the CTPAT Importer Security Criteria as enforced by CBP. As a participant in the CTPAT program, Speed International Logistics is dedicated to:

  • Implementing, adhering to, and maintaining policies, procedures, and practices consistent with the CTPAT Importer Security Criteria.
  • Cooperating with CBP and other law enforcement agencies to enhance the security of the supply chain.
  • Allocating sufficient resources to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of our supply chain security program.
  • Meeting or exceeding recommended business and security practices.
  • Supporting global efforts to combat terrorism and other illegal activities.
  • Providing security guidelines and training to all employees, contractors, service providers, and others involved with Speed International Logistics.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for our employees, customers, vendors, and other visitors.
  • Investigating any incidents or events that may indicate a breach in cargo security or other CTPAT-related criteria, and promptly notifying the appropriate authorities.
  • Regularly reviewing, revising, and updating security policies and procedures as necessary to stay aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

CTPAT affects nearly every department within Speed International Logistics, as well as external entities such as carriers and overseas suppliers. Security is the responsibility of everyone. All employees, contractors, service providers, visitors, and other stakeholders are expected to comply with the CTPAT Importer Security Criteria, as well as any policies, procedures, and instructions issued by Speed International Logistics.
